Bike Details
Rental Details
The Customer Must Not
- Sublet or hire the bike to another person.
- Allow another person to operate the bike.
- Operate the bike unlawfully or dangerously.
- Modify or remove bike parts without written permission.
- Leave the battery attached when unattended outside.
The Customer Must
- Use the e-bike safely and responsibly.
- Keep the e-bike secure when parked.
- Report accidents or mechanical issues immediately.
- Return all accessories in good condition.
- Provide at least 7 days written notice before returning or terminating the rental.
- Follow all Australian road and traffic laws.
Payment Terms
- Late Payment Fee: $30 per day deducted from deposit.
- Deposit Refund: Within 2 business days after return and inspection.
- Early Termination: $200 penalty applies.
Service & Protection Plan
- Pickup Service (only when bike turns off unexpectedly): $5 per week.
- Theft & Protection Cover: $15 per week.
Condition: If the bike or battery is lost or stolen while Theft & Protection Cover is active, the customer is required to pay 50% of the replacement cost in accordance with this agreement.
Loss, Theft, or Damage
- The customer is solely responsible for any loss, theft, seizure, non-return, or damage to the e-bike during the rental period.
- If the e-bike is lost, stolen, or not returned, the customer agrees to pay the applicable amount within 7 days of written notice.
- The submission of a police report, theft claim, or investigation does not remove or reduce the customer's payment responsibility under this agreement.
- Repairable damage remains the customer's responsibility.
Debt Collection
Unpaid bills, overdue rent, or repair costs may be forwarded to a debt collection agency, which may result in additional recovery charges and could affect the customer's credit rating or credit score.
Legal Costs
- OPERA E BIKES may commence debt recovery or legal proceedings for outstanding lawful charges.
- The customer may be liable for recovery costs, court filing fees, solicitor fees, enforcement costs, and legal expenses incurred by OPERA E BIKES.
- Legal and recovery costs may exceed $2,000 depending on the complexity of the matter and court proceedings.

Personal Injury & Liability
OPERA E BIKES is not liable for personal injury, customer property loss, fines, penalties, or third-party damage arising from use of the e-bike.
The customer accepts full responsibility for safe and lawful operation of the e-bike throughout the rental period.

Customer Declaration
I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions contained in this Rental Agreement.
I acknowledge that the e-bike and accessories were received in acceptable working condition unless otherwise noted.
I understand that failure to comply with this agreement may result in financial liability and legal recovery action where permitted by law.
